A Letter from the MIC President;

The MIC is all about community involvement.  We are a company that is made up of concerned residents and or business owners who all share a common goal of wanting to redevelop Montpelier.  Our name says it all Montpelier Investment Corporation, we are Montpelier investing in Montpelier. 

By having members join the MIC we are able to share the risk in redeveloping our community and our return is a “living return”.  Currently we have been focusing on growing our downtown to have a more viable business district.  And it goes with out saying that any efforts in economic development comes road blocks or hurdles that can stall or stop the growth. 

We are aiming to focus on the areas that we can control and that we can have influence over rather than waiting or expecting “others” to pull through for our community.  For instance, we have recently networked to bring in two new businesses to our downtown by either assisting with locations or through incentives that we can control like reduced rent.  Oh, and there is more on the way as well. As the future carries on we hope to be there not just to help the downtown, but throughout the community as a whole.
