June 17th, 2010
MIC hosted a June Business After Hours at the Southend Bar & Grill, good turnout & time was had by all!

May 13th, 2010
The MIC hosted a Business After Hours event, this time at Cool Beanz. Approximately 50 were in attendance as we recognized two new businesses to our community. C&M Closeouts located in the Miller Shopping Center and Williams County Publishing LLC, which announced the launch of their new paper to Montpelier and the surrounding community.
April 8th, 2010
On April 8th, the MIC hosted a Spring Business After Hours event at the Quarterline Cafe. There were almost 35 people in attendance. Melissa Raymond provided the music, playing the piano and her son played violin. We recognized a couple of the new businesses to the area, B&B's Main Street Candle Shop and Attorney Abigail Wurm and her husband Chris. Thanks to all who came out!

The MIC welcomed another business to our downtown by giving a warm welcome to Becky Froejlich, owner of B&B's Candle Shop, located now on 406 West Main Street in Montpelier.
December 8, 2009

The MIC introduced Attorney Abigail Wurm to downtown, providing her new law office a home at the former National Bank of Montpelier building, that the MIC currently owns. Included in the photo above is Asst Secretary of State Mike Rankin. Mr. Rankin was given a tour by Denise Dahl and the MIC, of the downtown revitilization being done by private investors.

After a lot of sweat equity, the MIC sold the F&M bank building, to a local businesman, with plans that continue the revitilization of a beautiful downtown landmark.
July 24th-26th 2009

The MIC was the organizing comittee for this year's Annual Bean Days in connection with the Antique Tractor Show. Included this year was a 5k run and Battle of the Bands Contest. It was a huge success with one of the largest parades in recent memory!

The MIC purchases the bank building located @ 302 W. Main Street from the State Bank in Montpelier.

November 2008
The MIC agrees to take over and organize the annual Montpelier Bean Days in conjunction with the Antique Tractor Show at the Fairgrounds
September 2008
The MIC hold its first ever "Business After Hours" at the Stage Wright Banquet Hall with over 30 area business people.
August 2008
THE MIC rolls up their sleeves and begins work on the F & M Bank Building.

July 22nd 2008
The MIC buys the F&M Bank Building at 225 W. Main Street for the purpose of saving a beautiful building in downtown Montpelier.
June 2008
The MIC is created.
April 2008
A group of concerned Montpelier citizens meet to discuss a new concept of revitalizing Montpelier.
